Happy New Year Everyone!!!!

It is time to update your membership roster again. I say again, but it
should always be done on a continual basis, but double checked before it is
frozen for the PMP count at the end of January. Don't forget, I am here to
help w/any questions you might have. I also know your what your League's
User ID & Password is, in case you forgot it. Another thing I can do for
you is transfer a member from one League to another, so if someone moved
from NYC to Scarsdale, I can make that move on the National Database.

Below are two items for Mary Wilson's Leaders' Update. Check out the
Database 101 Webinar. I am already signed up, maybe there will be something
new for me to learn about the National Database too!

EXCERPT FROM LEADERS' UPDATE: January 7, 2010

Update Your Roster: Your Member Count Determines Your PMP #7 (NEW)
It's roster time! Leagues must update their membership rosters by January
31. At that time, the membership count will be "frozen," and this number
will determine the amount of PMP a League will remit to its state League and
the LWVUS for FY2010-11. Always be sure to include membership expiration
dates when updating member information. If you have questions, would like to
schedule a training session or need help in accessing the database, please
email membership at lwv.org.

January 14: Database 101 Webinar (NEW)
Mark your calendar for Thursday, January 14, 2 pm ET, when the LWVUS will
host a Database 101 Webinar for League leaders. This is your opportunity to
learn the database fundamentals: logging in, adding new records, updating a
member's data, updating leadership information, and how the LWVUS pulls the
data for a member count. This is a great opportunity to train a new leader
on the member database! This session is available on a first-come,
first-served basis to the first 100 participants to register, and will be
available for viewing afterwards on the LWVUS website. So, please sign up
only if you intend to participate so that we do not leave seats empty and
people wanting to attend. Please register here
<https://admin.na4.acrobat.com/_a831402129/database101/event/registration.ht
ml> . And, if you have a specific database question that you would like
addressed during the webinar, please email membership at lwv.org.
