[LocalLeaguePresidents] LWVNYS Voter Service Survey Due!

Hi, everyone. Just when you thought you were done with Voter Service
(temporarily - we're never done), I am reminding you that the Voter Service
surveys were due to the League Office on December 1st. Thanks to all of you
who have already responded. As you probably remember, I do summarize the
surveys, League by League, and distribute the summary, so please don't miss
out on the chance to tell us all about the great activities you conducted
this fall in this local election year. We're looking at our empty chair
debate policy, so any experiences you had locally with troublesome candidate
forums and debates would be of great interest. The survey is attached. 

 

Also, I'm preparing to add another brochure to the "Your Right to Vote in
NYS" series for military voters. If your League has what you think is a good
write-up for these voters, I'd love to see it. 

 

Also, we are starting conversations with media partners soon on the 2010
elections and the possibility of state-wide broadcasts of debates for
state-wide offices. If you have suggestions on how we approach these
conversations and what degree of involvement you would like to have locally,
let me know.
