What is a mailing list and how does it work??

The mailing list is a system designed to simplify the process of sending the
same message to a group of people via e-mail. The e-mail is sent to the
mailing list address, and the mail server distributes the message to
everyone who is subscribed to the mailing list.  WHAT DOES THAT MEAN???  If
you would like to send a message to all of the local League Bulletin Editors
in NYS, all you have to do is to type the address:
LocalLeagueBulletinEditors at lwvny.org into the "TO" line of your e-mail,
similar to the way you  send a message to a single person.

 

Who is on the LL Bulletins Editors Mailing List?

This is a secure list, the LL Bulletin Editors are on it, as well as the
state League office staff.  Only people on the list can access it and send
messages to it.

 

What will I receive as part of the local League Bulletin Editors mailing
list?

You will receive updates from the state League office, timely items that
should go into your League's bulletin.  You might also receive a portion of
the SBR, if it includes Bulletins Tips.  Lastly, we hope that you will
communicate with your fellow Bulletin Editors to share ideas!! 

 

How do I subscribe or unsubscribe?

Send an e-mail to lwvny at lwvny.org

 

Are there other mailing lists?

There are!!  A complete list of all of our mailing lists can be found on our
website on the "Contact Us" page:  http://www.lwvny.org/contact.html.

any portion of this for your next bulletin!
