The family-run company of Maison Louis Latour is one of the most highly-respected négociants in Burgundy. All of the grapes from the vineyards Maison Louis Latour own are vinified and aged in the attractive cuverie of Château Corton-Grancey in Aloxe-Corton. The winery was the first purpose-built cuverie in France and remains the oldest still functioning. A unique 'railway' system with elevators allows the entire winemaking process to be gravity-fed, which eliminates the threat of oxidation from unnecessary pumping of the must. McCauley Mountain is located 2.5 miles from Old Forge and offers something to do all seasons of the year. During summer and fall, ride the chair lift to the top and enjoy the view. Spectacular views of surrounding mountains and lakes await you. Free picnic area. Open late June through mid-October.
