National Health Care – Current Action
The League actively supported national universal health care.  See the LWVUS website at: www.lwv.org/Health_Care1 for more information.  With passage of the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act, the League will now monitor its implementation at both the state and national levels.

Toward that end the LWVNYS supports A7860/S5425 Gottfried/Duane establishing the
New York State Health Plan, a single payer plan.
